Landscape design unites the art of man with the beauty of nature. Through composition, detail and spacial design, we attempt to reveal the unique character of each space, and to encourage exploration, reflection, discovery and contemplation.

A careful and efficient approach to site design can help minimize the development footprint. We promote native, non-invasive and drought tolerant plants, and encourage the use of local and sustainably produced materials. Plants may be selected for food production, microclimate improvement, or wildlife benefits. We support water conservation with efficient irrigation design, and the specification of permeable surfaces and stormwater management features. We specify natural soil amendments to build healthy soils and avoid harmful fertilizers and pesticides.

The way in which we interact with the natural world today will affect the quality of life for ourselves and future generations. Our designs should be an expression of our aspiration for a beautiful future.

There is a reverse correlation between maintenance and sustainability. Natural landscapes maintain themselves. An ecologically designed landscape will mimic natural processes and thus have much lower maintenance requirements.
